High School special education students in need of a laptop computer to greatly enhance their learning and educational experience. Special education students often need supplemental material to enhance their learning. Learning through textbooks, lecturing and overheads is an outdated methodology that students often have trouble relating to. By implementing a laptop computer into my lessons my students will have the opportunity to make videos, computer animation, graphics and text that will increase their retention as well as their interest in technology. A computer can be used as an educational tool in a society that is so computer oriented. The basic functions and knowledge of various computer operating systems such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint can be easily learned. Students today seem to respond favorably to new creative and technological ways of learning.
