I am an Essential Skills special education teacher who gets to enjoy time spent in the classroom teaching academics, but also life skills to high school students. These students are hard workers and deserve everything that the general education students get, but they just have to be taught in a different way. I have started using a lot of different items in many different ways to reach the ability of each of my students. Smart boards, smart tvs, and laptops have become more important each year. With technology being so important, I am now switching my classroom from the old worksheet way to using technology to teach lessons. Students love using technology so I feel that it's important for me to teach using as much of it as I can.
