It's just a small town school set on the coast in Florida. My students are eager learners and thrive to know more. Our classroom is built on community and respect for one another; we strive to live by the Golden Rule - do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Living in the Panhandle of Florida has its benefits, such as gorgeous sunsets and beautiful beaches. However, it has its limitations as well. Vocabulary levels are below level in part due to the lack of family funding to travel and experience other areas. This unfortunate deficit affects several aspects of their education, especially reading comprehension. In an effort to increase vocabulary, I plan to create projects that will expose my students to more - more cultures, more languages, more places, more experiences.
