Art and creativity are often left out of our classrooms, due to lack of time and budget. Stars of hope enable students to not only create, but to spread a message of hope to others that have been touched by tragedy. Empathy and tolerance are taught through the creation of the Stars. Stars of Hope empower our youth to reach out and make a difference in other lives through the simple task of art! Stars are painted and then sent to others that are in need of some extra positivity in their lives. Our city, San Bernardino, has received Stars of Hope after several tragedies and has been impacted by the movement. We want to pay the act of kindness forward.
