We need new flutes right now to help us prepare for our competition and final concerts. We will also use these instruments for all recitals and concerts in the future. Without working instruments our band cannot sound as good. We need to be able to play GREAT music for concerts, sports games, competitions, and personal practice. This new flute will help us in that endeavor. We have more broken instruments than working. This means we have many students sharing instruments; thus making practice very inconvenient. We also spend $2-3000 on fixing instruments every year when we really need to spend $10,000. We might as well spend that money on instruments that will work for decades.
