Reading is magical! Please help my students be inspired by a new book this year! I would love for each classroom to have one or two new books to share with their students. We have a school population of about 315 students in grades K-6 who need to enjoy a great read aloud and experience the excitement of hearing a brand new book. Reading aloud is, according to the landmark 1985 report “Becoming a Nation of Readers,” the single most important activity for building the knowledge required for eventual success in reading.” The books donated will be used for interactive read alouds to introduce new vocabulary, to model fluent reading, and reinforce authentic inquiry. Partner with me to be their book fairy this year!
