My job as a bilingual teacher is to not only educate my students academically but also help them aclamate to our school system. The majority of my students come from immigrant parents who are mostly new to our education system. In the classroom I teach in such a natural way by incorporating their culture and fostering a community of learners who love to learn without restrictions. With that being said we need more materials! children learn from hands on activities such as science games and reading projects that require a lot of glue sticks! The pocket chairs requested will help students build on their organizational skills and help them stay focus with little distraction. The book baggies are great for their just right books in the classroom. Bilingual students learning are enhanced with visual aids therefore the easel will help support their learning by creating and displaying anchor charts!
