Last year, I experienced a few students with a fixed mindset; I'm not good at math, I don't know how to do that, or just shutting down. On the contrary, many of those same students still had a natural curiosity with science. Another observation I had was how my female students really gravitated to nonfiction books, especially biographies. I would love to continue to foster these natural curiosities. I want to build a classroom library with the goal of improving their growth mindset, recognizing historical figures, and developing a love for both math as well as science.
