Just an occupational therapist giving my all to provide the best services possible to my students, who are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The outside world feels a little different every time I enter that school building..we take things day by day, become excited if it took almost a year for a student to master or even make the smallest progress toward an IEP goal, don't allow the intense behaviors we may encounter ruin our day, communicate using different and multiple techniques, and at the end of the day cherish the unique bonds that took, what seemed like forever, to create. Even though each day is unpredictable, I wouldn't trade my students or the many life lessons they have taught me, over the years, for the world!
