"I am a Kid at Hope. I am talented, smart, and capable of success. I have dreams for my future, and I will climb to reach those goals and dreams everyday. All kids are capable of success, no exceptions!"
ALL kids are capable of success, and there are NO exceptions! This is a belief that we truly hold here at McDermoth Elementary. We meet each individual student where they are emotionally, socially, and academically, then we strive to give them the tools they need to become successful. McDermoth serves 373 children, and we are a high poverty school. We have many families that struggle financially and our 70% free and reduced lunch rate is a sign of that. We are a K-6 school with a high Hispanic population with most of those students 2nd language learners. We have a great staff and support system for our students. We do all we can to invest in our students and to meet their needs. They are, after all, the future!
