I've always enjoyed books on wellness and entrepreneurship. From an early age I knew what I wanted to do in life --help young people thrive. Currently my school is full-time in-person and on-line for those who cannot attend. We have an extraordinary group of male students from grades 1 - 12. The curriculum extends from process skills like communication to topics like career development. Students apply concepts through hands-on labs. We are currently exploring careers in the construction industry by building simple machines. Each unit involves producing a finished project where students feel a sense of prideful accomplishment. I've run into many former students over the years that reminisce about the workshops. In fact, many have followed career paths first discovered in my program. They thank me and I always say "On the contrary, THANK YOU for allowing me to share this special part of your life! Always a pleasure!
