Dear Supporters, I want to thank you so deeply for taking the time to consider donating to my classroom. Since I began teaching at Eastway Middle School in Charlotte, North Carolina, I have been overwhelmed with the challenges our students face because of the low-income context they are a part of. However, the resilience and brilliance my students have shown has left me hopeful. I am so thankful for a resource like donors choose, because without it, my classroom would lack opportunities to essential resources. As an educator, I fully believe that every child should have the opportunity to receive an excellent education; and as a social studies teacher, I fully believe that every child has the right to know they are writer's of their own history.
