Welcome to science with Mr. Pham where "Phamily" is how we see each other and do science with love and agency. I have the best job in the world teaching high-school science in Deep East Oakland, CA, a diverse city in the Bay Area with unique challenges in its public schools. My students are predominantly African American and LatinX and many have never had rigorous science. Although they come to me with varying mastery, experiences, and opinions about education, I love them. They and I, we, may not have the most money, but we certainly have heart and commit to using science to better ourselves and our community.
