I am the English counterpart in a third grade Spanish Immersion program located 6 miles north of the US/Mexico boarder. Spanish Immersion is a program that teaches English speaking students how to speak Spanish through total immersion in the language and culture. My homeroom students receive 100% of their instruction in English while Spanish Immersion students receive only 90 minutes (40%). The remainder of the day is purely Spanish.
