My students need a comfortable space to sit while they are learning. The floor in my room is a hard surface which does not allow us to all sit together on the floor-the "Rugs Alive" rug is a colorful rug that allows each student to have their own personal space but still be up front and close to all of the action. This rug will not only allow us to have a comfortable and welcoming space in our room, but will also serve as a great teaching tool. By using a smart device to scan the "letters live" symbol in the middle of the rug we will be able to learn about the 26 letters in the alphabet. The fun animals in the "zoo crew" are a fun and engaging way for my students to learn their letter names and sounds.
