My name is Taylor Hopper and I am a new, passionate teacher to first grade in a low income neighborhood in Mississippi. My dedicated students will absolutely need and benefit from a classroom community rug by using it when cultivating whole group instruction, where the students will learn new concepts and listen to books being read aloud. This important rug will also be used as a small group center area in order to provide room for engaging, hands-on instruction. This area is so valuable to bringing all the kids together as a community to introduce new material and learn together or read together.
