Many of the non-fiction books I have selected will be used as reference material for a writing project we do on important figures from history. Currently, students have a very limited selection of books to choose from in our classroom library and this will give them someone to write about that they are truly interested in. Our classroom will benefit from a new rug, allowing the students to have a soft, comfortable place to relax while reading their new books. Many of my students have asked to have more non-fiction books to read and I am thrilled about the possibility of being able to offer them a wide variety of books to choose from.
