I have a wide range of students from beginners all the way up through advanced artists. They want to become more confident in their art abilities and I love being the one that gets to help them! My beginners get to use a variety of materials throughout the year such as clay, textiles, paint, pastels, and much much more! My intermediate and advanced students have the ability to problem solve and create solutions to their art projects. My intermediate students are currently working on a wearable item of their choice that is made completely from rolled phone book tubes! Their creativity and excitement to try new things makes my job incredible. I get to see students use a different side of their brain. Problem solving and figuring out solutions to open-ended projects is difficult but part of the real-world challenges they will face later in life. My classes help prepare students for situations that are not always black and white.
