I am a second year teacher, but this is my first year in middle school. As an ELA teacher, I am passionate about literacy and want to make sure that my students have the resources they need to become great readers. I am hoping to create a well-stocked and up-to-date classroom library where students are able to borrow books to read both in class and at home. Independent reading is a very important part of my lesson planning and teaching philosophy and I am striving to ensure that students have access to materials that interest them and will inspire them to read.
