In a school of artist scholars, I try to provide my students as many opportunities as I can, to bring their artistic talents into our English class. While a lot of students do have art supplies of their own, and most of whom also work part time jobs to contribute to their households, it is difficult for supplies to be accessible. I want to try to help lessen that burden, so they can focus on providing their best quality to each task. I don't want my students to worry about not having access to the supplies they need to thrive. Whether it be having a folder for class, post-its, or even basic art supplies, I want to be able to provide them access. Each of our units has creative tasks incorporated into the unit plan, specifically to engage our artist scholars, and having them explore their self-expression. Any help is greatly appreciated!
