Today, technology plays a vital role in our everyday lives. These iPads will help my students develop their reading skills in English and in Spanish. My students will be able to engage in activities that nurture reading such as iStation, Waterford, and Accelerated Reader. Your generous donation will allow low-income Dual Language students to become biliterate through the use of technology. These iPads will allow my students to continue practicing their native language along with their secondary language. I am always reminding my students that neither language is more important so they understand that both languages must be acquired. These iPads will serve as motivational tools that will not only keep my students engaged but keep them learning as well.
