Many of my students come from different countries and don't have the background knowledge about this country. These books will help me teach them about our country and its history. Some of the books will also give myself and other students insight into the countries from which our friends come. Understanding is the cornerstone of compassion and that's something that all students need to gain. These books will be used for reading out loud and supporting informational learning for my students. Even if they are remote learners this year, I hope to have access to a document camera that I can used to share books with my students.
