In a growing age of technology, my students are lacking access to new and updated technology systems in our classroom. I am asking for materials to help upgrade our classroom technology center including a new computer and software, as well as a new computer desk. This will give the children in my classroom the ability to work with and explore computers that are more in line with the computers and operating systems used on today's computers. The children will use the computers to enhance everyday learning and skill necessary to be successful in kindergarten and later in life. We will work on skills such as letter, shape, color, and number recognition. Children will also learn how to navigate a computer on a more current operating system that what we are currently working with. My hope is to give my children an advantage that they otherwise would not have gotten had they not attended Head Start. By having access to new and updated technology I hope to give my children the advantages they need to succeed in life.
