This is a year for change in my classroom. I have been working so hard to transform my classroom to allow for flexible seating. This innovative way of setting up a classroom, allows for students to have more choice in where they sit and work in the classroom. They will choose from about 8 different types of tables and chairs each day and will work toward finding where they are able to work comfortably and do their best work. A classroom carpet would help provide a safe space- a home base -for the class to come together to share ideas, read our favorite stories, work and grow into our own classroom family. The classroom carpet would allow a space where we can feel comfortable to talk about fears, exciting life moments, and work through friendship issues. It would be our safe place where we will make connections and friendships that will last forever.
