Our school is a diversely beautiful, public high school in Prince George’s County, Maryland. The International High School at Langley Park was specifically designed to craft instruction for recent arrivals to the United States, allowing students to interact with rigorous academic content while simultaneously learning English. All of our students work twice as hard as the average high school student - mastering content in their second language, gaining communicative competence in English, and dealing with the challenges that recent immigrants face in a new country. Our school embodies everything that makes the world a better place. We learn so much from each other: culture, language, food, and traditions. All of this creates a loving, safe, and supportive learning environment where everyone can THRIVE. #PhoenixUnited
