My 5th graders are some of the most resilient kids you will ever meet. They began school online during the pandemic, and many of the reading, writing, and vocabulary skills that usually form the foundation of learning were harder for them to build. Even with these gaps, they walk in every day with a smile, ready to try again. Many face challenges outside of school, but our classroom has become their calm and consistent place. They are capable, funny, and committed to growing. They celebrate every moment of understanding, no matter how small. With the right tools and support, they rise in ways that make me proud every single day.

About my class
