My classroom has 18 students who are learning to listen, speak, read, and write in both Spanish and English. Most of the students are native Spanish speakers, and the rest have either one or no Spanish-speaking parent. They are highly motivated to learn, but struggle to stay focused in a classroom setting with so many kinesthetic learners. They need more time with bilingual adults, but we do not have any bilingual interventionists or reading specialists to offer them. They love videos, learning about the world, and discovering on their own, but they need human resources the help them learn to use technological equipment. They are eager to help, learn, and grow!
