I teach low income students with approximately 74% on free and reduced lunch. Pretty much the only exposure they get to hands-on technology is here at school, other than their parents phones. My students are 5 and 6 years old, so to them, technology is all about just playing games. I want my students to understand that I pads can be used for so much more than just games! My hope is to be able to research and create hands-on interactive projects using the I pads. Our school is embarking on Project Based Learning, and our first PBL project is all about using technology to present a holiday from around the world. We need technology for this PBL to be successful! My kids are very eager to get their hands on these tools and learn about them. They are super engaged when it comes to anything that has to do with hands on technology.
