I teach 7th and 8th grade students at a diverse, inner-city high school (grades 7-12). Approximately 80% of our students are from low-income families, and over half of our population are English Language Learners. The students work very hard in school and participate actively in extra-curricular activities, school-based clubs, and in their communities. As teachers, we work to provide life-experiences for the students, holding high academic expectations in school, and creating opportunities for social and academic enrichment throughout the school year. The students have a zest for life, family, and community.
