Over half of student's have experienced significant loss after Hurricane Harvey. Many are displaced and living in extreme conditions. Our school was flooded and we have been doing our best to provide a safe, fun environment for our children. We just recently moved to a school made of portables on 11/13/17. We are lacking the basic necessities such as storage for backpacks, books, and supplies. Most of our teaching material was also lost so students have had to read books copied onto copy paper in black and white. The crates will provide adequate storage for our backpacks and supplies. They will continue to be used for storage and fun seating when we are able to move back to our permanent school building. The colored paper will brighten up our activities and help me create more engaging lessons.
