I chose books that would encourage my students to feel more comfortable learning the English language and socializing with other students. These books will be used during small group instruction and one-on-one instruction with ESL students. I will use these books as anchor texts. We will have an open conversation about these topics to encourage a growth mindset and social skills. These books will also be used as a library for when they want to independently read or need a book to read for their class. I chose various topics that I thought would interest the different age groups that I get to work with. Thank you for reading my project and considering supporting my students in their journey.
