My students come from all over the city of Philadelphia, but most are from the immediate area, making it truly a neighborhood school. Many students require special services and individualized plans to achieve personalized goals and grade standards. While most students experience challenging home environments, their families want what is best for them and provide as much support as they can. Situations at home impose responsibilities on these 6th graders beyond their years. I want my classroom to be their safe place and outlet so they can be the 11, 12, 13 year-olds they are.

About my class
