Visual representation is a significant tool used by teachers to increase comprehensible input. My English Language Learners need visual resources in order to understand the content they are learning and the language they are using. As an English as a New Language teacher, I model and provide necessary scaffolds in order to communicate language clearly. These scaffolds are given to my students so they can use it anytime during the day, at home or at school. A color printer will enhance my students' learning experience. The color printer will help my students understand abstract concepts, make connections with terms they already know in their home language, and use the images to explore new ideas. They can increase their language skills with the use of colorful vocabulary picture cards, individualized tools for writing, sentence starters, and anchor charts. Furthermore, presenting information in color will engage them better--it makes the resources more attractive.
