My students love to read, write, draw, color, and solve math problems. They never give up even though they face challenges every single day. My students have different disabilities that acts as an obstacle when it comes to learning. However, I am amazed at each and every one of my students. They never give up to learn.
My students need repetitions to master a skill and it needs to be presented in different learning modes to decrease learning and behavior challenges. That is why I love to create individualized task cards so my students can use to practice skills they need to learn. My students love to interact with those task cards that they can write on with dry-erase markers or putting little pieces of letters to make a sight word. Who wouldn't love to learn through fun hands-on learning materials? I know I would...and so does my students.
I need many lamination sheets and velcro dots to make the task cards durable for my students to re-use them repeatedly. Task cards is a nice alternate way of learning then just with paper and pencil worksheets. Having various learning task cards accessible to students through out the day will enhance their learning and reach their goals.
