I am a speech-language therapist serving more than 60 students with different types of disabilities like Speech and Language Impairment, Specific Learning Disability, Intellectual Disability, and Autism from preschool to fifth grade level in a high-needs school in Oakland Unified School District. I work with children with current Individualized Education Plan in our three special day class programs, four full-inclusion classes, as well as in our regular education classrooms. My students have a wide range of speech and language needs. They need help with verbal production, understanding different concepts and directions, and articulation.
