My students will have the opportunity to hear stories about cultivating kindness toward themselves and toward others. These books will allow my Kindergarteners to build a growth mindset, where they can say, "I can't do that - YET!" and also have the ability to encourage their classmates and others around them to do the same. I would like to help empower the children in my class to be the best versions of themselves. Each child matters and can make such a difference in our world, even at a very young age, if we focused more on their social-emotional development. It is my job as their teacher for providing them with rich literature that not only will foster their love for reading but will help them grow into an amazing young human being.
