My students need additional support while in the general education classroom. My students participate in small group literacy centers daily in the inclusive setting. The majority of my 3rd and 4th graders are reading below grade level. This small group time will play a huge role in helping students grow closer to grade level and become more confident readers with the necessary materials available. The selected items will enhance small group instruction and learning. Because I am not working from the front of the room during small groups, the dry erase easel will allow me guide students through Leveled Literacy Intervention lessons. Plus, it has storage to organize and store our materials! The dry erase markers and magnetic letters will make word work more exciting and engaging. Lastly, the bouncy bands will help students who struggle to keep their body in control or stay seated while in our small groups.
