By creating an Art center where 2 students can work with an iPad and a set of drawing materials consisting of colored pencils, watercolor pencils, and sharpies, they can work along with professional illustrators to learn how to draw subjects of their choice using a step by step drawing method. This will ensure success in their drawings and give them a boost of self esteem. The Art Center will be a privilege to use at the end of class, based both on behavior (emphasizing what it means to be an Amazing Artist) and the quality of their completed work during the day. I don't always have the time to do special drawing lessons and by creating an Art Center, it will allow the students the opportunity to have a choice in their subject and their medium, extending what the techniques they have already learned about in class.
