My 4th grade classroom is centered around flexible seating with couches, chairs and low tables for sitting on the floor and high tables for standing. Research has proved that when students can move around and choose where they would like to work, they do a better job. I believe all students should be comfortable and enjoy their learning space. Students at my school are hardworking and have a can-do attitude. Many of them come from homes of poverty, but that just means "not a lot of money." They still have the desire to learn and be the best they can be. My goal is to create an environment where they have everything they need to learn, and where it is fun, safe and happy.
