These above level, below level, and at a third grade level books will help me create and implement exciting, daily literacy lessons for my third grade students, and everyone will have a just right book. It is important for students to be exposed to texts on a daily basis, especially books that spark their interest. While I will have some books at hand, they are VERY outdated and many students do not recognize the titles. They say to not judge a book by its cover, but how can you not judge when they are falling apart? As a result of the 97% poverty level at my school, many of my students do not have access to books at home. These leveled books will be sent home with the students so that their learning can continue outside of the classroom and be brought back as an exchange process. These books will also help my students build confidence as they venture into new third grade content.
