Medicine Balls are excellent tools for developing explosive power, with an easy learning curve and limitless exercise possibilities. I have approximately twenty middle school student-athletes that come to train with the varsity coaches in the weight room. These kids show up at 6:30 am every day with great attitudes, ready to train and get better. Unfortunately, even the smallest medicine balls we currently own are too heavy for most of them to handle. With this project, we will be able to provide a more age-appropriate athletic development program to better suit the needs of these kids.
