Our school is a small, public school located in Brooklyn, New York. Our supportive staff works with 52 kindergarten students and first graders with Autism. Each child is unique and special in his or her own way. Our natural born artists love to express themselves through different means of artistic creativity. They love to explore and experience the art materials using all of their senses. Many of our kids have severe sensory needs and art is the perfect way to satisfy their needs and showcase their creativity all at the same time. Art also helps our students gain fine motor skills, increase communication, and helps improve self-awareness. Whether they are getting messy, painting, drawing or sculpting, they show us how much they need art in their lives.
