How do you keep a classroom of nine year-olds interested in reading? By giving them a magazine filled with gross animals, stories about Alcatraz, and other wild and crazy texts! In short, give them Storyworks! StoryWorks Jr Magazine offers a variety of text, builds background knowledge, and encourages the students to learn more. The articles are rigorous and are offered on three different levels to meet the needs of all students. Each student will have their own copy of the magazine, as well as access to the online resources. Each magazine includes fiction and nonfiction articles, plays, grammar help, poems, and even debates. StoryWorks Jr. enhances our literacy program by providing the students with a variety of high interest, engaging, and differentiated text.
