Students at my school recently planted gardens all around the campus. We now have beautiful green gardens that attract a myriad of insects and birds. The storage cart that I am requesting will be used to store the materials my students need to conduct Field Biology. By having a Field Biologist Station in my classroom, students will have the opportunity to take binoculars and magnifying glasses outside to observe birds and insects in their natural habitat. The thermometers will be used to take temperature and humidity readings. Using the field guides, they can learn more about a particular bird or insect. Finally, they will be able to record what they notice about their physical characteristics and behaviors in the provided journals. Through real- world experience, students will have a better understanding of the role of Biologists and the natural world around them.
