I have created this project so that I can enhance my classroom library and to provide my students with more tools that they can use to develop literacy skills. The materials for this project will help cultivate a love for literacy in my classroom. Many of my students do not have access to books outside of school. Though some students do not have books at home, the books we read together will help to teach lessons about kindness and patience, which are important life skills that they can take beyond the classroom. Other materials, such as the CVC Unifix Letter Cubes and the CVC Word Building Cards, will help my students develop literacy skills that they will need to become readers themselves. The storage bins and storage shelves will be used to house the materials and make them easily accessible to my students. By donating to this project, you will be helping me to provide my students materials that they can use to help them succeed in school.
