The students that attend my school and those who live in my community are students who already understand that their socioeconomic position places them at a disadvantage when it comes to access to resources. They are bright and motivated. They have high expectations and understand that I have high expectations for them as well. Students are aware that education will provide them with opportunities for social mobility and they are still excitable and eager to grow not only as academics but also as citizens and as people. My students come from diverse backgrounds and households, with a large portion of them being minority students. However, they all share a belief in their abilities and have a good concept of self, community and commitment. Therefore, our mission is to ensure that their visions for themselves come to reality this year.

About my class
