It is important for our young people to understand the importance of the usage of alternate energy resources. This project combines the exploration of alternate energy , understanding of electric circuits, and engineering concepts. Right now in my classroom we can only imagine how alternate energy works but they do not have the capacity to build and explore how they actually work. These kits will allow my students to create models of several different types of "green" alternate energy so they can understand how they work. Bringing an awareness of alternate energy in the classroom is imperative for our students. It is also important to develop their engineering skills and understanding how electric circuits work as well.
