Students will use the Engineering Design Process to create their own pop-up designs for cards and books. They will create a pop-up project in which they will incorporate math, engineering, technology and art. With the use of the Cricut machine, students will be able to create their own designs to make their own pop-up cards and books. Students will learn to measure angles and distances, analyze data, and learn concepts of symmetry and motion. This project will also incorporate computer technology. It is my goal for the students to be able to use computer programs to create their own designs, possibly for graduation t-shirts and fundraising activities such as senior trips.
