I teach English 12 in an urban school in Michigan. For the twentieth year, I have loved these students who may not always have had the seeds of reading planted as they grew up. It is not always easy, but students simply need the mindset that they can succeed in life. We as teachers continue to increase the graduation rate as well as continue to shape students for college and the workforce. Above all, young people need mentors who believe in them. As they become lifelong learners, they will continue to blossom.

About my class
