With the ECG monitor and teaching stethoscope, my students will be better prepared for real world application of their skills at their respective internships at the local hospital and clinics. Currently, they learn many of the concepts in class, but do not have a chance to practice their skills before they begin their internships. Learning the skills on site does not offer them the best opportunity to make the most of their site time. Giving these disadvantaged students access to this equipment will go a long way in ensuring their success as they move forward in their education. This will help students achieve their goals and enable them to become lifelong learners and productive members of the local community.
